Luzon: You see, the Philippine educational system is forcing us to learn English, to be "globally competitive", they say...but then this is an effect of US Imperialism treating the Philippines as a neo-colony.
It has this effect on our culture that gives this, language-bias.. I mean, English speakers in the country are considered "sosyal", for one...Also, English speakers are preferred at work, which doesn't really sound so bad, for one, but if you look at it, English speakers are preferred because the jobs we have are jobs meant to serve foreigners rather than our country men.
Now, before you say, "But you're typing in English, lol.", the fact that I typing this in English, rather than Filipino, is proof enough of what I am saying.

Yeah, I agree with you on that. It should be the Americans , who came here, be the ones speaking our language not the other way around because this is our land they are in.
