Description

Luzon: I have deep respect for North Korea's efforts to abolish US Imperialism. People may think their effort is futile, but do remember that the strongest weapon people have is their belief and faith. Remember that Lapu-lapu defeated Magellan's troops, who were equipped with armors and guns, with mere swords and wooden shields.

We have been on opposite sides of the war, but that was because the Philippine president who controlled over us back then had strong alliance with the US. Truth be told, the communist movement in the Philippines was also strong back then, due to political tension. The armed movement was strongest in rural areas, particularly in Luzon and southern Mindanao; while the seat for activism was situated in Manila. Basically, the progressive mass in the Philippines were also fighting for what Koreans were fighting for, freedom from the evil of US Imperialism, feudalism and neo-colonialism.

As much I I want the Philippines to remain neutral about this war, it's highly unlikely. Our country is geographically in perfect location for US bases. In fact, there are already US bases proposed to be set-up here, AGAIN. The past few months, we've also witnessed more and more US military activity in our territory, much are unknown to the general public. These military activities are done because of the Visiting Forces Agreement between the US and Philippine government. Now seriously, if ANYONE uses the VFA to ship USPH, I will slap you, and ask Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio to haunt your dreams. The VFA is nothing but a one-sided military "partnership". It has nothing good for our country and is an insult to our national sovereignty. Remember the Tubataha incident where a US ship got stranded while threading the shallow waters of the Sulu sea? Well, that ship damage kilometers wide of coral reefs which were home to a lot of marine life that locals depend on for a living. And because of the VFA, the US has an excuse to get away with it since it states that the Philippine territory is free to be used for military exercises. And how much more one-sided can this agreement be? The Sabah incident, where Filipino people have been fighting with their lives to claim the lands of Sabah (I still love you Malaysia, we'll still try settling this peacefully. I'm just trying to prove my point.^^;) and yet the US showed no support and even condemned the actions of the Royal army.

Now as one of the representatives of the Philippines, which, as you all know, have a LOT of Filipino workers everywhere, I AM concerned for the well-being of my people. Which is why I am thankful that North Korea issued a request to have all foreigners in SK leave the country in case war breaks out. This clearly shows that what NK is doing is not an act of terrorism, it's just a war against Imperialism and to retain their freedom from it.

CJ: I'm supposed to be retiiiiiiired from activism.
:iconyaomingfaceplz:

BTW, does anyone here speak Bisaya, Cebuano or any language spoken in the Visayas region and can help me with translating a few phrases over the weekend? Just note me, thanks~
