Question 260 by JCpilipinas Question 260 by JCpilipinas
CJ: Okay....so the Cyber Crime prevention law will be (was) officially in effect sometime prior to posting this but like, whatever...it's not like they have the hots on me.
:iconyaomingfaceplz:

For those unaware, President Aquino has a knack for covering up his lack of significant achievements by "contrasting" his administration with the previous Arroyo administration. He promised us a "Daang matuwid" ("straight path") but his daang matuwid is just built parallel to the previous path which the Arroyo administration took.o

Basically...their policies aren't different. In fact, most of Aquino's projects that he keeps rubbing on the mass's faces through the media are just renames of Arroyo's projects, like the Oplan Bayanihan and that other project I forgot the name where they give out cards to poor families which is like an ATM and then they give out money like P500 a month?
:v

. . . .

Alright.this is turning into a rant and I'm not even supposed to be working on anything.

That said, the reason for my inactivity the past few days is that I am sick and in fact I even made a goodbye post on tumblr in case I die.

Here's the [link] from where I cppied Aquino'a joke from and it has explanations to the references.

hahahahhahaha!!!!

We live on an administration hell-bent on destroying the previous administrations :))

A friend of mine once said that the 6% GDP is still the result of GMA's administration. We won't be experiencing the reaps of Pnoy's administration until 2-3 years after his term so it's important for the government projects to continue from one administration to the next and that change would continue.

unfortunately, that isn't exactly the case here *sighs*

btw, I love NZ's face. so cute! :33

Luzon: As much as Arroyo is corrupt, there's no denying that she is a brilliant economist.

It's a shame that the economists produced by our top universities are trained to serve what activists would say "mga atrasado sa lipunan" instead of the proggressive movement. Basically, they are either trained to be corrupt or not given a chance at all.:U

Yep, and as much as some of them wanted to serve the people, they simply get swallowed into the system. It works in media too. :(((((

Although given a choice for a president, I would rather have one coming from UP or any state university in the country. Most of our public officials and economists came from top and elite universities, yes, but they were only taught of theories and models of public service, no actual application whatsoever. I stumbled upon an article in Philstar one time, and the columnist argues that hands-on leadership and political will is what this country badly needs.

CJ: Well you know, the College of Economics in UP Diliman is considered as backwards in orientation (meaning it leans to prefer the status quo of the politics as of now) so basically, even UP graduate economists are still pro-elite.

Sad.

Aww. :( If only some kind of reform would happen to our top universities, maybe we can start an overhaul of the whole Philippine leadership system altogether. But it's too impossible right now.

I just wish our next leaders would possess a strong passionate love for the people and granite-like rigidity from being overwhelmed by the system
